Frequently asked questions

Questions families often ask.

Clear answers about our role, our limits and what happens before any referral is made.

What does Senior Resources do?

We help older adults and families understand senior living options, organize decision criteria and consider residential settings. After required disclosures and consent, we may provide referrals to settings for the family to evaluate. Referral licensing and registration are pending, so referrals are not being made yet.

Is Senior Resources a facility?

No. Senior Resources is a placement guidance and referral service and a division of Care Resources Inc. It does not own or operate the communities discussed unless a relationship is expressly disclosed.

Do you decide where someone should live?

No. The older adult and their authorized decision-makers remain responsible for the choice. A facility makes its own admission decision.

Do you guarantee placement?

No. Availability, eligibility, price and acceptance are determined by each setting and can change.

Which settings can you help us explore?

Depending on the person's circumstances and our approved scope, options may include Residential Facilities for Groups, Assisted Living communities, memory care and independent living.

Can you help in a hospital discharge?

Yes. With written authorization, our Nevada-licensed RN reviews relevant History and Physical (H&P), discharge and continuity-of-care records to identify documented care considerations for the placement search. We coordinate with authorized professionals but do not replace the hospital's discharge plan or the admitting facility's assessment.

How much does the service cost?

Ask us how the service is funded. Before any referral, we will explain whether a community, the older adult or a representative may pay a fee, and we will obtain consent to proceed.

Will you share our information?

Only as explained in our privacy and referral disclosures and with the required permission. Clinical records used for RN review must go through the approved HIPAA-secure workflow, not the public website form, ordinary email or text. You may ask us to stop referrals or contact.

Can we change our minds?

Yes. You can pause, decline an option or stop the process. Contact us if you no longer want calls, messages or referrals.

How do we know a facility is licensed?

Ask the facility to show its current license and any endorsements relevant to the services it offers. You may also verify status with the appropriate Nevada regulator.

What should we bring to a tour?

Bring your priorities, budget questions, a list of services to verify and notes from each visit. Avoid sending sensitive health or financial records through the website.

What if we need urgent help?

Senior Resources is not an emergency service. Call 911 for immediate danger or urgent medical needs.
